YCharts Launches Risk & Proposal Manager for Financial Advisors

T3 Tech News

YCharts, a leading investment research and client engagement platform trusted by thousands of financial professionals across North America, today announced the availability of Risk & Proposal Manager, a feature that puts risk assessment, proposals, and ongoing client management under one platform.

For most advisors, assessing a client’s risk tolerance, building a proposal, and monitoring the portfolio over time means moving between multiple tools. Risk & Proposal Manager connects those steps within YCharts, from the first conversation with a prospect through ongoing client reviews. With client and portfolio context alongside risk assessments and proposals, advisors can turn what they learn about a prospect into a recommendation, monitor whether the portfolio stays aligned, and easily prepare for the next conversation.

A TRANSPARENT FRAMEWORK BUILT AROUND THE ADVISOR

“We built YCharts around helping advisors better serve their clients,” said Sean Brown, President and CEO of YCharts. “Risk & Proposal Manager extends that commitment with a transparent approach to risk conversations that advisors can tailor per client. By connecting that approach to proposals and ongoing portfolio monitoring, we’re helping advisors communicate their recommendations with confidence and spend more time on what truly matters, building client relationships and growing their business.”

The three main components of Risk & Proposal Manager:

  • Risk tolerance questionnaire: Advisors can personalize the questionnaire before sending it directly to clients. YCharts includes standard and extended versions out of the box, and advisors can build their own to fit how their practice talks about risk.
  • Risk profiles: Advisors can define frameworks that map each client’s risk tolerance to asset allocation targets and model portfolios.
  • Client management: The component includes a book-of-business dashboard that tracks assets under management, household count, and concentration; automatic alerts when a portfolio drifts from its client’s risk target; AI-generated client insights; and firm-level oversight for home office users. Advisors can bulk import client accounts, households, and portfolios from connected platforms, such as Black Diamond, Orion, Redtail, Schwab, and LPL ClientWorks.
