Timeline Unveils Comprehensive Withdrawal Rate Planning Software

London-based fintech firm, Timeline, has launched comprehensive software for illustrating sustainable withdrawal strategies.

The second edition of the software, which is currently in beta, enables advisors to model numerous dynamic spending strategies, the impact of asset allocation decisions, rebalancing, glidepaths and taxes. Advisors can produce a personalized withdrawal policy statement for their clients within minutes.

The software is available to financial planners and institutions in 7 countries, including the US and the U.K.

Michael Kitces, an adviser to the firm, said “It’s been nearly 25 years since Bill Bengen first published research suggesting that a ‘safe’ withdrawal rate can be evaluated by looking at historical worst-case-scenario analysis. Yet ironically, despite the popularity of the approach, it is still not possible to illustrate such scenarios in any financial planning software on the market today. Timeline fills a long-overdue void in the advisor marketplace!”

Timeline’s CEO, Abraham Okusanya, said, “What we’ve done with Timeline is bring together the extensive research on the sustainable withdrawal rate framework from legendary researchers like Bill Bengen, Michael Kitces, Dr. Wade Pfau and others. Our latest version enables advisors to personalize the extensive research to each client’s unique circumstances. Timeline has a unique place in the advisor’s toolbox. It remains the only software in the marketplace that applies empirical data and research to solve the drawdown challenge.’
